Empire Of The Sun Win Best Pop Release At 2009 ARIA Awards

26 November 2009

Aussie Empire of the Sun were awarded the ARIA for 'Best Pop Release' at tonight's 2009 ARIA Awards.

The eccentric Luke Steele accepted the award, joking about his bandmate Nick Littlemore's obvious absence.

"German Shepard Steele gets another award," Steele said. "Everybody say hi to invisible Nick!"

They dance duo picked up the 'Best Pop Release' award for their hit 'Walking On A Dream'.

One half of the band, Nick Littlemore, is on a highly publicised stint in the US at the moment where rumours are flying about crazy benders in Las Vegas! Nick went missing earlier this year and even Luke Steele didn't know where he'd gone!
