Oasis Not Allowed To Fly?

29 July 2002

An Australian union has threatened to ground British rockers Oasis on their Australian tour.

"Serial offenders do not change their spots," ASU assistant national secretary Linda White told press.

"Oasis should not be allowed to board a plane, basically."

After the not-so-glam incident in 1998, Oasis are banned from flying Cathay Pacific. Drunken band members smoked, became offensive and threatened passengers and crew on a flight to Perth.

"It is not acceptable that one airline can take passengers that another airline has banned for life because it just perpetuates the problem," Ms White said.

That'll learn ya fellas!
