PETA have criticised Lady Gaga's meaty fashion choice, as they aren't impressed by the use of animal meat in clothing. Gaga claims she wore it to prove she is "not a piece of meat".
The dress, which was made from real meat, included a beef clutch and a headpiece.
Gaga is yet to accept the dinner invitation.
A spokeswoman for PETA says "Ingrid did send Lady Gaga a private letter inviting her to a vegan dinner.
"We know her to be a kind person from her previous anti-fur statements, and we hope that she takes Ms. Newkirk up on the offer."
