Katy Perry Taking Russell Brand's Last Name

Katy Perry is in the process of officially becoming Mrs Brand, after marrying Russell Brand earlier this year.

Katy revealed that she is legally changing her name from Katy Perry to Katy Brand.

She appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and discussed her marriage to Russell with the talk show host, explaining that she definitely will be changing her last name.

"Now are you thinking about changing you name?" Ellen asked.

"Yes, I am, actually," Katy confirmed. "I'm in the process."

Plus she already responds when people call her Mrs Brand!

"If I'm at an event or something like that and [people] want special attention, they go, 'Mrs. Brand!'" Katy explained.

She will probably still be known to the public as Katy Perry, and will just use her married name for legal purposes.
