Katy Perry To Perform At The Logie Awards

Katy Perry is set to open this year's TV Week Logie Awards with a performance of her worldwide hit song 'Firework'.

Katy is in town for her California Dreams tour, and will give the ceremony an international flavour.

Adrian Dellevergin, Executive Producer of the TV WEEK Logie Awards, said: "We are thrilled with the calibre of presenters at the Logies this year, which includes the best of Australia's television talent. We are also very excited to have Katy Perry performing, which promises to be a show-stopping performance."

Presenters at the Logies will include Hamish & Andy, Sarah Murdoch, Adam Hills, the Chaser Boys and Chris Lilley.

No word yet on whether teen superstar Justin Bieber, who will also be in Australia, will perform or make an appearance.

The awards will be hosted by Shane Bourne. The will be held at Melbourne's Crown Entertainment Complex on Sunday, May 1, and broadcast from 7.30pm on the Nine Network.
