Songwriter Saved Katy Perry From Drowning

Katy Perry will always have a special place in her heart for songwriter Bonnie McKee -- because she saved the 'Firework' singer from drowning!

Bonnie revealed that she was working with the popstar on her latest album when a naked swim almost ended Katy's life.

The songwriter tells Rolling Stone magazine, "We decided to go skinny-dipping."

Katy quickly stripped off and ran into the sea, but she was knocked over by a wave.

Bonnie recalls, "I saved Katy Perry's life and in exchange, she let me stay and write a few more songs."
