Justin Timberlake Hasn't Spoken To Britney Spears In Nine Years

Justin Timberlake has revealed that he hasn't spoken to his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears in nine or ten years, and that he always knew their relationship was doomed.

The pair met as teen performers on the Mickey Mouse club, and dated for three years before splitting in 2002.

At the time they were the hottest couple in Hollywood, but Justin believes that their relationship wasn't strong enough to last.

He tells Vanity Fair, "We were two birds of the same feather - small-town kids, doing the same thing. But then you become adults, and the way you were as kids doesn't make any sense.

"I just don't think we were normal; there was nothing normal about our existence. We spent way too much time being the biggest thing for teenyboppers. (We were) little kids with big toys. You do the math - that's not going to last."

And the pair have completely lost touch.

Justin added, "(We haven't spoken) in nine or 10 years."
