Katy Perry Tweets Her Love For Gotye

04 September 2011

Songstress Katy Perry has added to the growing list of admirers of Australian artist Gotye.

Katy Perry recently tweeted her new found love for the singer after stumbling across his breakout track 'Somebody that I used to know.'

In the tweet Perry says "New music discovery (for me!). Check out Goyte, specifically this song ft. Kimbra : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UVNT4wvIGY The Lyrics are so true!"

Perry apparently loved the song so much that she went back and bought the whole album!

In a later tweet she added "Actually now I've bought the whole Gotye record Making Mirrors and I suggest you should too. It's going to be my favourite I can tell."

Gotye's album has been attracting a lot of attention of late, with stars such as Ashton Kutcher and Lily Allen taking to twitter to confess their love for the artist.

Australian songstress Kimbra, who features on the track, has also been receiving some A-list attention, with gossip queen Perez Hilton requesting that she perform at his CMS party in New York next month.
