Rihanna Hits 11 Number Ones In Billboard Chart!

06 November 2011

As if we further needed any proof of Rihanna's star power, she has now reached a major milestone securing her 11th number one hit in the Top 100 Billboard chart with her track 'We Found Love'.

Rihanna's 'We Found Love' poached the top spot from Adele, and secured Rihanna as the 8th artist in history to score 11 number one hits on the infamous chart.

The number one listing also put Rihanna as the fastest solo artist in Billboard history to chart 20 top ten hits, second only to The Beatles!

Rihanna has now surpassed Janet Jackson (10) and Stevie Wonder (10) for number of hits in the chart, but is still ranked below such mega stars as The Beatles (20), Mariah Carey (18), Michael Jackson (12) and Madonna (12).

Island Def Jam President and CEO Steve Bartels said of the achievement, "We are watching history in the making. With Rihanna achieving her historic eleventh Hot 100 No. 1 single, she continues to be a class unto herself. It's rare and wonderful to see a hitmaker of Rihanna's talent and consistency, and it's a privilege and an honour to shepherd these great songs along with the IDJ team to the top of the charts. We look forward with pride and excitement to Rihanna's next great milestone, as her career reaches new heights."

Congratulations to you Ri Ri!
