2011 American Music Awards Best And Worst Dressed List!

21 November 2011

Well the 2011 American Music Awards (AMAs) are done and dusted and brought a bevvy of gorgeous frocks and handsome hunks to the runway.

Now that we know who won, we wanted to cross examine some of the outfits... from the very best, to the downright wrong.

Check out the full AMAs winners list here!

So let's get down to it!

BEST DRESSED 2011

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber
These guys just keep getting cuter! Selena looks a-maze in this full length silken number, and Justin was very dapper in his suit complete with bow-tie. He looked even cuter when he made sure Selena didn't trip on the red carpet by holding her dress. Aww!

Katy Perry
Loving the western girl meets geisha look! Who knew pink hair could look so good!

Taylor Swift
Elegant and effortless as always! This girl is super stunning. Head to our competitions page for a chance to meet her when she comes to Oz next year!

Amy Heidemman and Nick Noonan
We're not really sure who you are Amy Heidmman, but you are simply cute as a button! This duo sing in a group called Karmin in America, and we are loving the pin-up hairstyle Amy has got going on! Will be looking out for these two in the future!

Sophia Grace Brownlee
OK Sophia is just in here for cute factor, but she does pull off a tutu better than us! Here she is rocking a red carpet at the age of 8 with her little cousin Rosie. Bless.

WORST DRESSED 2011

David Guetta and His Wife Cathy
D-Guet when are leather pants ever ok? Lucky your tunes are so good. As for Cathy... you kind of remind us of Lil Kim. Enough said.

Phoebe Price
Who are you Phoebe Price and why do you plague our worst dressed lists? Stop with the inappropriate fascinators and garish makeup. You are not at the Royal wedding.

Mary J Blige
Here is life lesson: When re-emerging into the public eye after a time of absence it is critical you don't wear a hapless sack of grey leopard print. People will remember you for all the wrong reasons.

Julie Bowen
Where do your arms end and your body begin Julie? This is a question you should have asked yourself prior to donning sequinned horizontal stripes. The bizarre up do is certainly not helping.

Nicki Minaj
Minaj we love your style normally but this is probably a little too eye assaulting even for us! Pretty sure the neck choker look went out in the early 90s.... and the ruffled shiny green skirt look was never in. We're still glad you cleaned up in the awards stakes though!

Nicki Minaj's outfit was actually one of the most critically lauded looks from Oscar De La Renta's Spring 2012 collection shown in NY a few months back. I wish these so-called 'fashion commentators' actually knew their stuff.

Ash joins Angus O'Loughlin as co-host, who joined Take 40 in August 2013 and added "It's like who's going to be the next Dr. Who (well maybe not) but this is big news and big thrill to be part of something so large."

Angus O'Loughlin

Take 40 welcomed Angus O'Loughlin to the show in 2013, joining the nation's longest running and most respected music chart show Take 40 Australia.

Currently also hosting Today Network's 'The Bump', Angus' cheeky sense of humour and passion for music makes him the perfect complement to the Take 40 brand.
