WATCH: Katy Perry Reveals She Is Ready To Have A Baby!

Katy Perry is wrapping up the final leg of her California Dreams World tour in a few short days, and according to rumours circulating the net she is set to take an extended break from singing in order to start a family with her hubby Russell Brand!

According to sources the hard working singer has allegedly let her management team know that she will be stepping out of the lime light for around a year once her tour finishes up on November 23 at the Staples Centre.

In an article on Perezhilton.com a source has said, "Katy Perry is taking time off to work on her family... She informed her managers that after that, she'll take a year off to spend time with husband Russell Brand and to start a family."

The news comes just days after Perry appeared on Ellen DeGeneres' chat show to talk about her marriage and starting a family.

In the interview Katy confirms that she would love to start a family with Russell, but didn't reveal when that might be.

When asked by DeGeneres how many children she wants to have, Katy cheekily replied, "If it doesn't hurt the first time, I'll keep popping them out."
