Adele Starts Tweeting After Throat Surgery

Adele's throat surgery has had an unexpected upside -- the star has taken to Twitter to communicate with her fans!

Adele is currently on vocal rest as she recovers from throat surgery, after having a huge year filled with hits like 'Rolling In The Deep' and 'Someone Like You'.

And the singer seems to have been missing her fans, because she decided to log on to her Twitter account and start tweeting.

Although Adele has had an official Twitter account for a while, it was mainly used by her management team.
"Right! Its me!" she tweeted. "I will start tweeting if 10k of u start following drop4drop & their trip to India this wk. Its a wonderful charity. Go! A xxx."

And her fans quickly answered the call, which encouraged Adele to keep posting. So she decided to share a photo of herself.

"F*ck me that was quick! ThankU! I'm in bed, watchin Gladiator, eatin an apple. Here's a pic of me & Queen B last wk in NYC! X," she added.
