Nothing says Christmas like a flurry of false death rumours.

This week it's Jon Bon Jovi in the hot seat, and the rock icon is taking active steps to prove that he's still 'livin' on a prayer.' (da doom schhh)

Bon Jovi's representative have confirmed that the singer is alive and well and performing at a charity event this week, despite an online rumour circulating that he had been found dead in New Jersey.

A website called "dailynewbloginternational" posted the story claiming that Bon Jovi was dead on Monday. The post was later found to have been copied from a story announcing Michael Jackson's death in 2009.

Bon Jovi also posted this photo with yesterday's date to prove again to his fans that he's still kickin' and not 'shot through the heart.'
