Rihanna has been confirmed to perform with Coldplay at this year's Grammy Awards and took to her Twitter to share the exciting news.

Riri tweeted, "My friends Coldplay and I will be sharing the stage for a performance at this year's Annual Grammy Awards!"

It's been rumoured that Rihanna's harboured a long time dream of performing with the Brit band -- and now it's finally come true! We can't wait.

Coldplay front man Chris Martin invited also Rihanna to appear on the group's most recent album, Mylo Xyloto, to sing vocals on their Princess of China track. We're assuming this song is what she's going to perform with them!

Rihanna was very impressed with Martin's songwriting skills after the Mylo Xyloto studio session, and insisted she was desperate to perform live with the band.

They have now arranged a date to sing together - at the Grammys ceremony on 12 February.

Rihanna is also nominated for four awards at the event.
