Oscars 2012 - New Zealand's Brett McKenzie Wins For Best Original Song

27 February 2012

The Academy Awards have been going on in Hollywood this morning, and New Zealander Brett McKenzie just scored a nod at the prizegiving!

Brett, who is a member of comedy duo Flight Of The Conchords picked up the little golden man for his song from The Muppets titled Man or Muppet.

The Muppets is the first film featuring the iconic Jim Henson characters in more than a decade, and the song was largely sung by Jason Segel and Peter Linz, who voiced the Muppet Walter.

We are very proud of our Noo Ziland neighbour Brett! Congrats from Take 40!
