Take 40 Australia Joins Forces With The ARIA Chart!

06 March 2012

We have an exciting announcement to share with you today! Starting this Saturday, March 10th, our iconic radio show Take 40 Australia will be joining forces with the ARIA chart, and counting down the top 40 songs in the country in collaboration with them, across all our platforms!

This means we'll be continuing to do what we do best -- providing you with Australia's most popular music countdown- in partnership with one of the most reputable bodies in the Aussie music industry -- the ARIA charts!

Check out the Take 40 chart here!

These charts have been long touted as the most iconic and authoritative guide to the highest-selling music in Australia, and have also been regarded as both a measure of achievement for artists and a source of interest and debate for fans.

The Take 40 countdown will now reflect the top 40 songs from the ARIA Singles Chart, which is compiled each week from recorded music sales data from the majority of Australia's leading physical and digital music retailers.

To celebrate this amazing new venture, Take 40 are giving four lucky people to score a $50 music voucher!

All you have to do is check out the Take 40 countdown and tell us in 25 words or less who your favourite charting artist is and why!

Easy right? Enter here!

Ash joins Angus O'Loughlin as co-host, who joined Take 40 in August 2013 and added "It's like who's going to be the next Dr. Who (well maybe not) but this is big news and big thrill to be part of something so large."

Angus O'Loughlin

Take 40 welcomed Angus O'Loughlin to the show in 2013, joining the nation's longest running and most respected music chart show Take 40 Australia.

Currently also hosting Today Network's 'The Bump', Angus' cheeky sense of humour and passion for music makes him the perfect complement to the Take 40 brand.
