Eight years ago Pete Murray promised two girls who were battling cancer that he would record songs that they'd written.
This year he is releasing those songs in a single called 'Let You Go' from his album 'Blue Sky Blue.'
"The girls asked me to do this one day, and I promised he would do it," Pete revealed.
20 year old Kate Dawes and 19 year old Caroline Clifford wrote songs as part of the music therapy program at the Royal Melbourne Hospital during their treatment.
They made friends with Pete during a visit to the hospital, and asked if he would record the songs they wrote.
Both girls lost their battles with cancer in the same year.
Last year Pete released both songs that the girls wrote in a single called 'Let You Go,' which is available on Friday across Australia.
