Lady Gaga has given Sydney a massive shout out ahead of her tour over here!
The shout out comes after Lady Gaga was made aware of a clip made by community group Collaborative Community Project, that features a number of volunteers (mostly from the 2012 Mardi Gras) reading out the lines to her hit track Born This Way.
Obviously moved by the clip, Lady Gaga tweeted her thanks on Sunday (25 March). In her post she wrote, "No negativity could ever compete with the truth. SYDNEY is so special. IM ON MY WAY BABY. Celebrate your passion," before posting a link to the YouTube clip.
Collaborative Community Project is an initiative that aims to eradicate online bullying, homophobia, transphobia and youth suicide through 'support, education and social media.'
On their Facebook page the group list their mission, "to build short and long term sustainable solutions to eradicate online bullying, homophobia, Transphobia & youth suicide. We aim to achieve this in the short term by providing a series of role model videos, building focused training mentors and providing a 24/7 support, assistance and guidance service through Social Media. We also aim to achieve a longer term sustainable outcome by providing education and knowledge through society to youths, which will build a better future by the concept of paying it forward."
