Jason Derulo: 'Musical Reinvention Sparked By Neck Fracture'

Jason Derulo has promised his fans that his new material will mark a "total reinvention" of his music because his song writing has changed dramatically since he fractured his neck.

Jason fell on his head during rehearsals of a high energy dance routine for a show in January (12), with doctors discovering that he had fractured his neck.

He has been ordered to take time out from his hectic schedule and is currently sporting a neck brace, but Jason recently revealed that the incident has inspired him to write some new material, which has taken a huge change in musical direction!

He told Britain's Daily Star, "Since my accident I've been in the studio. I probably got in too soon which wasn't the healthiest thing to do, but I have been so inspired by everything that's happened."

"The material has been coming out a little different as I realised what actually matters in life. It's a total eyeopener. The world got to slow down for a second, which is also really cool, plus I got the chance to spend time with my family and loved ones, which matters the most."

He added, "This is going to be a total reinvention and people will be really surprised. It's a total flip. I'm also trying to think of what to do with my look as I definitely want to change it up a little bit, maybe add some colour to my life."
