We sat down with the gorgeous New Zealand songstress Kimbra this week, and she chatted all things music, fame and fortune with us!

Of course Kimbra is most well-known in the pop music scene these days for being the guest vocalist on Gotye's runaway smash hit 'Somebody That I Used To Know,' and we wanted to know how she felt about all the success!

22 year old Kimbra revealed: "It's really special, everyone's connected to that song on a worldwide scale... (Before it came out) I wouldn't have had a clue it would have been sitting up with Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga on the charts."

We've also been hearing a lot of rumours that Kimbra wasn't the first choice of vocalists for the song, and that Sarah Blasko was one artist that Gotye offered the featured vocalist part to before her.

Kimbra confirmed: "Yeah I heard that as well yeah, I don't know too much about it, but it's crazy to think it could've gone a whole other way."

Bet Sarah is kicking herself now!

Check out the full chat below, and hear about Kimbra's fantastic fashion sense, her only in LA moment, and seeing Rihanna and Katy Perry at Coachella this year!
