Famous Hollywood screenwriter Nora Ephron has passed away overnight.
The 71 year old was famous for penning some well-known romantic comedies such as When Harry Met Sally and Sleepless in Seattle.
Her son Jacob Bernstein revealed that the cause of death was pneumonia brought on by acute myeloid leukemia.
Nora won numerous awards for her work as a screenwriter, and received three Oscar nominations for her films.
More recently, Nora also wrote and directed her last film Julie and Julia in 2009 working alongside her good friend Meryl Streep.
Stars are already flooding Twitter with tributes for Nora, with Lacey Chabert writing: "So sad to hear that Nora Ephron passed away. Never had the pleasure of knowing her, but truly loved her films. TY 4 sharing your gifts #RIP"
Jessica Biel added "Nora Ephron...thank you for your ground breaking contributions for women in the film industry. You have truly paved the way. With respect..."
Debra Messing posted: "Nora Ephron---what a loss. A magnificent Spirit, and Voice. She changed Romantic Comedy forever. My prayers to her family and friends..."
