This weekend on the Take 40 Australia radio show, Jackie O will be celebrating the fact that we're halfway through the year by counting down the top 40 songs of 2012 so far!

So who has taken your fancy as one of the biggest songs of 2012? We've gathered together some of our picks, so you can vote for which artist you think should get the kudos of creating the best song on the Take 40 chart this year so far.

All the songs and artists below have charted this year, but might not have reached the top spot. Regardless, they've all made a big impression on us!

Delta Goodrem -- Sitting On Top Of The World



This was Delta's comeback single this year, and boy has it made an impression on our chart! Full of sunshine and good vibes, this is a definite contender for best song.

Justin Bieber -- Boyfriend



This song has such a 'stick in your head' quality that we had to include it. It's Justin's first single in quite a long time, and he hyped it up so much

Flo Rida -- Wild Ones Feat. Sia



We loved that Aussie Sia got involved in this number, and maybe that's what gave it such staying power in the charts. With a killer extreme sports video to match, this is definitely a top 2012 song.

One Direction -- What Makes You Beautiful



Even though this song came out last year, it made a big impact on the chart when the boys came to Australia a few months ago. A stand out summer hit, it's still making us tap our toes in the cooler months!

Fun. - We Are Young Feat. Janelle Monae



Despite being around for a few years, when Glee covered Fun's track 'We Are Young', it catapulted the band into the pop sphere. This track is a great youth anthem!

360 - Boys Like You



2012 has really be 360's year! His Boys Like You track features another Aussie Gossling, and the video features Ruby Rose and 360 having a cheeky pash!

David Guetta - Turn Me On Feat. Nicki Minaj



This video is pretty strange, but that doesn't stop the fact that the song gets stuck in your head! David Guetta has to be one of the hottest artists around at the moment!

Carly Rae Jepsen -- Call Me Maybe



6 months ago no-one knew who Carly Rae Jepsen was, and now she's everywhere through her manager Justin Bieber. Call Me Maybe has spawned so many covers and memes we know it's onto a good thing!

Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know Feat. Kimbra



This song came out half way through last year, but it stayed in the charts until only a few weeks ago! Gotye's tune has hit huge international success in the last few months, and we're still not sick of it. Are you?

Guy Sebastian - Don't Worry Be Happy



Guy Sebastian's song of good vibes was his first tune in a while, and his fans loved it! We love his attitude!

Katy Perry -- Part Of Me



This was Katy's first single after divorcing from Russell Brand, and the accompanying video was pretty interesting also! It's also the title track from her new biopic!

Reece Mastin -- Shut Up And Kiss Me



Reece's alarmingly demanding song climbed the Take 40 chart with ease, after it was released a few months ago. It was the X-Factor winner's second single, and the video featured Jess, one of the contestants from Australia's Next Top model!
