LISTEN: Alicia Keys Releases New Song 'New Day' -- We Love It!

Soulful singer Alicia Keys has been relatively quiet on the music front for a few years, but this week she dropped her brand new hit 'New Day.'

In a Youtube video dropped earlier this week, the singer/songwriter revealed that she became a new person while creating her upcoming fifth studio album, and has changed a lot since having her son Egypt in 2010.

"I've come to this place that the album is about to be ready and I feel just so crazy excited," she said.

"It's like I'm a different person. I'm a new person. Everything is new, from being married and having a baby... I've become so much more intelligent and I survey the landscape more and try to come up with what's the best thing for me, what's the best thing for Egypt, what's the best thing for our family."

Although she has not announced an official title or release date for her new material, she wrote a tweet with the hashtag "#AKNewDay," which makes us feel like that will be the name.
