Katie Holmes And Tom Cruise Divorce Confirmed

Just when you thought this couple were going down in Hollywood history as a permanent fixture - Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are filing for divorce!

Break up rumours have surrounded the Hollywood couple for a number of years, and
now a split has been confirmed by Katie's attorney Jonathon Wolfe.

Just four days before Tom Cruise's 50th birthday, a statement has been released
from Wolfe revealing: "This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family.
Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."

The couple tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at an Italian castle in 2006. They
have a six-year-old daughter, named Suri.

Katie Holmes recently skipped her husband's film premiere for Rock of Ages in
Los Angeles earlier this month leading many fans to believe there was trouble in
paradise.

Tom told red carpet reporters at the event that his wife had business to attend to in
China and couldn't change her schedule.
