Rihanna has revealed that she is scared of falling in love again -- because her previous relationship splits have left her so heartbroken.

Rihanna famously dated R&B star Chris Brown but they parted ways in 2009 after he attacked her in his sports car, leaving her battered and bruised.

She then went on to date baseball star Matt Kemp and was also linked to rapper Drake, but she is currently single - and she admits she is afraid of opening her heart again.

Rihanna told Harper's Bazaar magazine, "I have been conservative in my love life... it's pretty much nonexistent. If I come across someone who I find really cool, I'll hang out. But the minute I find that we're getting too close I just - I don't let people in."
