LISTEN: Altiyan Childs Debuts New Song 'Let's Forget.'

16 July 2012

We are always excited to hear new things from Altiyan Childs, and over the weekend he graced us with a brand new song called 'Let's Forget.'

Altiyan took to Facebook on Saturday to share the news, and dedicated the track to a fan of his that recently passed away, Adeline Cox.

His post read: Dearest Adeline, This song was scheduled for my new album, but instead i have decided to record it early and acoustically, and dedicate it to You, as it seems that you may not be here in the flesh to receive that elusive 2nd album, the one who's hopes you've kept afloat amidst the greatest tribulations that a fan could ever be put through by forces outside and within. For that reason, and many more, you have my everlasting admiration.

For what it's worth, i promise You that i will give it wings, and that all the weight of the world will not overcome it. Your intense loyalty will not be forsaken, and i will not let it go in vain. May it's melody find your spirit, even though by then you will need no hope, nor reminder, that You. Are. Invincible. ...But before that secret gift is revealed to You, here is the song that i recorded for You, just 2 hours ago. It is raw, and even though my hands were shaking and my chair was squeaking, it comes from the only place i know; The Heart. ..I'll see you again myDear, ....inside The Mystery. GodLove.

Check out the song below. It is amazing. We can't wait to hear a new album from Altiyan later this year!

Just had to play the Windsor version to see how he ended it there, totally differently "let's try to forget" last words, and no "messing with me" (those were changes for Addie) but a totally different tune in the ending as well as the word ... love both, but the pain in his voice at the ending of Addie's one is shattering, so vulnerable ? I was researching Duffy for my radio show today, as I played this and she also has that "vulnerable" quality in her voice, so I also played her. I was trying to explain about what I meant about that vulnerable quality in a voice. When I was researching I discovered that she said she breaks down in tears and has to go off stage for a moment in 1 of about every 15 concerts. That didn't surprise me to lean as I could hear it in her voice, how she totally exposes her emotions as she sings, same as Altiy does ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWzKbCG5LY4
