Closing Ceremony London 2012 Performers - Ed Sheeran, One Direction + Spice Girls?

The end of the Olympics is fast approaching, and it's almost time for the closing ceremony!

We've been hearing rumours about the performers for the closing of the London Games, and over the weekend these rumours got more fuel for their fire!

Victoria Beckham tweeted a picture of a diamond-encrusted microphone a few days ago, fostering the rumour that the Spice Girls will reunite and perform!

Posh Spice posted a photo of the bejewelled mic, along with the cryptic caption: "Look what I found!! X vb."

There's been no official confirmation that the girls will reunite for the August 12 ceremony, but Victoria's tweet certainly suggests she's been rehearsing and singing again.

Fingers crossed she's not bringing out a solo album. Cringe.

Sunday Mirror columnist Dean 'Pipo' Piper also pumped up the speculation, by tweeting, "So the Spice Girls are all together rehearsing for the Olympics RIGHT NOW in London. #itsonbi----es."

Other performers pretty much locked in to perform include Ed Sheeran - who accidentally confirmed his involvement and then had to pretend he didn't -- and One Direction.

Maybe they'll get all the Beatles back again - some via hologram! We'll have to wait and see!
