WATCH: Amy Poehler And Other Comedians Launch Current Affair YouTube TV Shows

You might have noticed a trend on the interwebs. A number of comedians have taken to YouTube, including Poehler, Rainn Wilson, Walter Latham and surprisingly Shaquille O'Neal to launch their own channels.

Amy Poehler from Saturday night live has launched a show called 'Smart Girl Have More Fun' where she interviews young girls who as she describes them are "extraordinary individuals, who are changing the world by being themselves."

She also added: "We wanted to celebrate the non-celebrity. We wanted to embrace and highlight the cool period in any boy or girl's life where they're just so full of possibility and ideas and passion."

Comedy is only one genre growing online at the moment. The shows range from gaming through to high end financial reports.
