Channel 10 and Shine Australia have confirmed that MasterChef will definitely move to Melbourne next year.
The fifth season of the cooking reality show will be filmed at the Melbourne Showgrounds from early 2013, and applications are already open if you want a piece of the pie. (see what we did there?)
Doody Street in the inner-Sydney suburb of Alexandria has played home to the hit TV show, but has recently been sold. The property was listed for sale in March with an asking price of $6.5 million.

Network Ten is promoting the move as a "fresh" start for the series, which was less popular this year due to the runaway success of The Voice.
Last night's finale of MasterChef All Stars just scraped the mill mark with 1.05 million viewers for the announcement, which is way below normal ratings.
Programming officer David Mott said of the change "This is an exciting move for MasterChef Australia's viewers and sponsors. What better way to explore fresh, new cuisines than to head to what is arguably Australia's food capital."
"The Melbourne Showgrounds offers an exciting opportunity to create a new environment for MasterChef Australia, with a new kitchen, new challenges and new locations in Victoria's acclaimed food and wine regions.
"We figure it is way past time we let our contestants loose in Melbourne. We can't wait for MasterChef Australia 2013."
Applications for series five of MasterChef Australia are now open at www.masterchef.com.au.
Will you be watching next year?
We love that Katy Perry's 'Hot and Cold' is the theme song to Masterchef... but we also think the video below would work well. What would your choice for theme song be?
