MTV VMAs 2012 Best And Worst Dressed List

The MTV VMAs are on in Los Angeles right now, and we've had a great time eyeballing all the red carpet fashion!

As with all MTV events, the fashion varied from amazing to outrageous, and we were there to judge every step of the way!

The MTV VMAs brought us the meat dress from Lady Gaga in 2009, so we couldn't wait to see what this year entailed.

Sadly, no-one upped the ante on the meat dress (or Lady Gaga in general), but there were certainly some super outfits!

Best Dressed

Rihanna

Rihanna debuted a brand new pixie haircut on the MTV VMA red carpet today, and we have to say, it was the most relaxed and natural look we've seen from her! She kept it simply and paired the look with a simple red lip and floor length white dress. Go RiRi!



Miley Cyrus

19-year-old Miley Cyrus looked edgy and confident with her new cropped look. Although we're still getting used to her blonde coif, we like the new style Miley is showing, and think she looked great in the Emilio Pucci dress with an Edie Parker clutch.



Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato simply embodies what the MTV style is all about. Casual rocker chic, without taking things too seriously. In a weird way she reminds us of Sandy from Grease, and the blonde definitely looks good on her... although she kind of looks like Rita Ora now.



Worst Dressed

Amber Rose

As if a pregnant belly isn't enough of an accessory to carry off on the red carpet, Amber Rose (Kanye West's ex girlfriend) had to go and pair it with a floor length lace number with skivvy neck. Even though there's a flesh coloured underlay, she still looks a little nude. Ew.



Ke$ha

Ke$ha is normally the queen of daring, but this red carpet look kind of makes us feel like she's covered in teeny tiny flies. We expected better!



Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys! Heaven help us. Alicia has got to be one of the most stunning women in Hollywood, but this weird metallic grey dress is not doing her any favours. It's ill-fitting and fairly frumpy... We want to see Alicia get back to her sassy best!

Rita Ora -- I'm cool enough to carry off a onesie award



One Direction -- the 'we're all grown up' award



Taylor Swift -- I'm channelling a politician now that I'm dating a Kennedy award



Nicki Minaj -- I'm going to stick to my crazy fashion even if I look ugly award



Katy Perry -- I look really sad and a bit depressed award



Zoe Saldana -- I have nothing to do with music or music videos, but hell I'm gonna attend anyway... award.
