Elton John will perform a one-off show in Australia with Pnau in November.
The two artists recently released the collaborative compilation ‘Good Morning To The Night’, with Pnau reinventing the early 70s classics of Elton John.
The Elton John show already scheduled for November 16 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre will feature a set with Pnau.
It will be the only performance together of Elton and Pnau performing songs from ‘Good Morning To The Night’.
Elton John has spoken about his love for Pnau before, admitting “About five years ago when I was on tour in Australia I went to a record store in Sydney where I found the Pnau album. I bought it and fell in love with it, so I got in touch with Nick and Peter from Pnau and met them for coffee the next day."
"Some time later they left Australia and came to London, and now my company manages them. As soon as they arrived in England we started talking about Pnau doing a remix album using my early material. Basically I gave them free rein to go through all the master tapes and select whatever they wished."
2Cellos will also perform with Elton on all shows.
The other Elton John tour dates are:
November 12, Perth, Perth Arena
November 14, Canberra, Canberra Stadium
November 15 and 16, Sydney, Entertainment Centre
November 18, Melbourne, Rod Laver Arena
November 20, Launceston, Silverdome
