Big Brother fans were shocked yesterday, when housemate Josh Moore withdrew from the competition after learning of his older brother’s death.
Josh was personally notified by his parents that his brother Toby had suddenly passed away, and after a few hours, decided to leave the house to support his family at this difficult time.
This morning, host of Big Brother Australia Sonia Krueger has spoken out on the radio to reveal that Josh will be coming back to the show.
She said "I will be speaking with Josh live on Big Brother on Sunday night… which is something that Josh wanted to do. He’s told us he wants to come back and say goodbye and say thank you to Australia for their love and support."
She also added "Considering the circumstances (Josh) is coping quite well… Josh was one of the most popular housemates, very likeable… he connected quickly with a lot of the housemates. They’ve all become very close… they’ve almost become like a second family to Josh."
"Having to cope with death in any situation is extremely difficult, but it adds another dimension to it when it’s in the public forum… and I think the main thing is that we need to respect Josh and his family’s privacy… and give him some space to process what’s happened."
Our thoughts are with Josh and his family at this devastating time.
No eviction this weekend on Big Brother!
