After months of searching, tears, breathtaking performances and transformations – The X Factor Australia is finally coming to a close, with The Collective, Samantha Jade and Jason Owen battling it out for the top position!
The show opened with the top three acts performing David Guetta’s I Can Only Imagine – an apt song considering what is in store!
The top 12 then made their way onto the stage for an energetic performance with Owl City of his hit Good Time – with the top three making their triumphant appearance at the end.
Then after a look back over the best moments of the competition – the top three returned to the X Factor stage to perform with R’n’B legends Boyz II Men in a seriously smooth performance of End Of The Road.
Then it was time to see the first of the top three to leave the competition – with the shocking news that The Collective were no longer in it to win it! But we are sure that this will not be the last we see of the boys – with Nat Bass pointing out that One Direction didn’t win on The X Factor either!
Then One Direction performed on what we would assume is The X Factor UK stage – with a glorious performance of their latest single Little Things.
The boys also had a little message for their Australian fans, thanking them for their support and promising to be back soon!
Then both Samantha and Jason took to the stage to perform one last time – with Samantha singing her edgy version of Scream by Usher and Justin singing Dancing in the Dark.
And then, just like that it was time for the all-important announcement – with the news that the winner for The X Factor Australia 2012 is Samantha Jade!
