Some bands suffer from over blown egos - but not Coldplay. They keep theirs firmly in check.
According to frontman Chris Martin, "It's a weird mix being in our band. One half of us thinks we're better than the Beatles, the other half thinks we don't deserve to have two people come to our shows, let alone 2 million. One half of me thinks Paul McCartney should clean my boots; the other half thinks I should clean his. That keeps you kind of grounded. Mainly you're just always trying to improve. You're always making music thinking 'Gee, will we live to regret that?' and trying to make sure we won't."
Sounds like a damn good philosophy to us!
