It only feels like a few months ago that The Temper Trap were collecting a swag of ARIA awards for their second studio album…but in news just in, the Melbourne 4-piece have announced they’ve already started work on their third full length recording.
The band have been working away at ‘La Casa’ in Byron Bay at a special artist residency program backed by Corona. A newly released video from the band reveals a little of what we can expect of their new work and the new direction in which the band is heading.
“With this album, there is a bit of pressure, as we’ve discerned and had feedback from album two and reviewed our strengths from album one – there’s a pretty clear vision of what we want to do,” says bassist Jonathan Aherne in the video.
Frontman Dougy Mandagi has also been hooking up with the man behind Frank Ocean’s award winning album ‘Orange’, Malay. Although it’s still not certain the exact impact Malay will have on the album, it will certainly make for an interesting collaboration.
