The X Factor Australia Live Shows - Adira-Belle Are Sent Home!

26 August 2013

It’s crunch time on The X Factor Australia – with the first act from the top 12 being sent home after the start of the live shows last night (25 August).

The night opens in traditional style with a group performance, with the top 12 taking on I Like It by Enrique Iglesias – a song choice that really didn’t aid in showing off everyone’s unique vocal talent!

Before the results from last night’s efforts were revealed X Factor Alum and last year’s winner Samantha Jade returned to the stage for a fiery (sorry we had to!) rendition of her hit Firestarter!

Anyone else seriously concerned about those wandering hands near the flames?

Then it was down to the business end of the show – with the results revealing that both Barry Southgate and AdiraBelle were the ones voted in to fight it out for their spot in the competition.

But before they took to the stage – UK singer Jessie J wowed that crowd with her energy and impeccable vocal range with a colourful rendition of her new single It’s My Party.

Then it was on to AdiraBelle to perform the song that could potentially save them a place in the competition – with the girls choosing Aretha Franklin’s Chain Of Fools.

This is Adira-Belle as we love them – both sassy and soulful, with the girls clearly fighting hard to keep their place on the show.

Barry Southgate made the interesting choice of taking on Beyonce’s Irreplaceable – with his performance making it obvious that his place in the bottom two had left him shaken. However the beautiful smooth tone he has become known for definitely shone through as he eased into the song.

Of course mentors Dannii and Natalie went with their acts – leaving the decision of the night down to RedFoo and Ronan.

RedFoo decided to take his vote with AdiraBelle, saying that he felt they lacked experience, while Ronan also put his vote with them – making the girl group the first casualty of the live shows.

Do you agree with the act that was sent home tonight?

I really love this website . It's so much easier to just order here and get the items you need for you and your family. Their prices are good, in fact, a bit lower than most large online Store and they have specialty products that you can't usually find at the stores.
