According to Soundwave head honcho AJ Maddah Good Charlotte are a potential for the second wave of acts added to the festival!
The controversial promoter has revealed via his Twitter page that a clash with Joel Madden’s TV commitments had prevented that band from joining the first lineup announcement –but that Joel was “hustling to change dates”.

Filming for The Voice traditionally begins in mid-February – so it would seem that Joel is trying to wrangle something with the show so that he can take part in the festival.
The news is somewhat surprising as Joel and Benji were involved in a brief Twitter spat with Maddah after he called them “not good people” last year and insinuated that they were cruel behind their fans backs.
However the air was eventually cleared with Benji tweeting, “I called AJ and we spoke. He’s been upset for 10 years and I’m glad we talked about it and squashed it b/c I respect him and Soundwave.”
The second Soundwave lineup announcement is reportedly scheduled for October and will add around 20 more acts to the lineup, including a mysterious third headliner who will join Green Day and Avenged Sevenfold.
