The X Factor Australia - Barry Southgate Is Sent Home!

09 September 2013

It is that dreaded time on The X Factor Australia - when yet another contestant is booted off the show for good!

With some seriously solid performances last night (as well as a few redemptive ones) it really is anyone’s guess which singer/s will be sent home tonight.

The top 10 open the show with the Jackson 5’s Can You Feel It – featuring some weird planet graphics, but some pretty solid singing!

Then the boys from The Collective made their grand return to the show with their new single, love ballad Another Life. The song showed off each guy’s individual vocal strength and it was good to see them back on the show that created them over a year ago!

Before long it is down to the business end of the show – with Swedish brothers JTR and Barry Southgate left to battle it out for their place in the competition.

But before JTR and Barry take each other on – the seriously talented and sexy Miguel performs his smash hit Adorn.

He has the entire audience in the palm of his hand, with his honeyed voice and smooth moves! Anyone else think this guy has the potential to be the next Prince?

Then it was down to judges to decide the fate of JTR and Barry. Nat of course votes to send Barry home, with Dannii also putting her vote behind her act. RedFoo felt that while JTR are missing some of the confidence need for their performances, Barry is missing strong vocal performances – deciding to send him home.

The vote came down to Ronan who said that he had to send through the artist that he thinks has the best chance to make it to the finals! In a big shock he decides to send home Barry – with the singer shattered by the decision.

Was the right choice made tonight?
