The X Factor Australia Live Decider - Third D3gree Are Eliminated Over Taylor Henderson!

21 October 2013

It is crunch time on The X Factor Australia, with the show just one week away from its Grand Final!

Tonight’s live decider opens with international act Imagine Dragons taking to the stage for their feel good hit On Top Of The World.

After the energetic performance lead singer Dan reveals that the strangest place he has heard the track was in an elevator in Australia!

Then it is on to Australian institution Tina Arena to literally set the stage on fire with her comeback hit Set Fire To My Life.

Looking divine in a red sequined dress, Arena is the same powerhouse vocalist we remember from years ago!

Then it was straight onto the all-important results – with Dami Im the first contestant through to the grand final!

She was swiftly followed by Jai Waetford – leaving Taylor Henderson and Third D3gree to battle it out for the final place.

Before they face off it is time for Little Mix to take to the stage for their first TV performance of new single Move.

Looking fine in all black ensembles the girls work the stage like pros – with their vocals hitting all the right notes.

Taylor Henderson was first to take to the stage, singing his version of Stand By Me because it was a track he used to perform with his dad.

This is the most confident and comfortable on stage we have seen Taylor in the competition – with the singer showing off his gorgeous tone.

Changing the vibe Third D3gree belt out Beyonce megahit Crazy In Love – with Jordan saying they chose the song because it is ‘swaggy, edgy, it’s us’.

With their usual energy and pizazz the group make it clear that they are definitely in it to win it.

Then it was up to the judges to make their decision – with Luke asking each judge to choose the act they want to send through to the final.

Ronan of course puts his vote behind his act Taylor, while an emotional Nat put hers behind Third D3gree. Dannii reflected on the difficult ride both acts have had in the competition before putting her vote with Third D3gree.

Going with his ‘crazy gut’ RedFoo puts his vote behind Taylor sending the vote into deadlock.

With the Australian public making the decision Taylor Henderson is the last act to go through to the final!

How do you feel about the final three?

Very sad to see 3rd Degree go, I thought they were awesome, I'm pleased that Jai went through, he's the only one who expresses emotion in his songs and that's what makes him very special ... he must be in the final 2, he deservesit.
