Dance Music is Getting Slim, Says Fatboy

Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim, has commented on whether or not he believes dance music is a dying genre.

Fatboy told the BBC: "When I was making ("Palookaville"), I was reading articles about the demise of dance...obviously that affects you somewhat."

"I personally don't believe it's either dead or going to die, but it's going through a bit of a fallow patch.

"So I think, consciously or subconsciously, reading every week that dance music was dead I would think, 'Right, scrub that track then'."

"Palookaville" was released in Australia in early October.
