50 Cent's Protege Is No Game

26 April 2005

Rapper The Game is facing an enormous lawsuit following his assault on a US radio presenter.

The Game, who collaborates with 50 Cent, reportedly attacked presenter Zxulu after he dissed his bling. Members of The Game's 20-strong entourage were also involved in the scuffle.

But it's not the attack that is making Zxulu sue - it's the exploitation of the incident in The Game's single "Hate It Or Love It".

Zxulu's lawyer explains: "As our lawsuit points out, it's based on the fact that a lot of these record labels and rappers pride themselves on careers based on street credibility.

"Their records sell more when they do something in the public eye that gives street credibility to their image.

"Clearly, putting lyrics in the song regarding this incident helped sell records. Artists should not be able to profit from alleged incidents where people are physically harmed."

Zxulu is wanting approximately AUS$300 million in damages.
