Singer Justin Timberlake has quashed rumours that he and girlfriend Cameron Diaz are planning to marry this weekend by revealing that he is instead to undergo surgery.

Justin is reportedly suffering from throat nodules - the same condition that Aussie Idol contestant Cosima De Vito was said to have suffered.

A source revealed: "He hadn't sung much for ages - he pretty much stopped over the last year to focus on acting.

"But recently he's been in the studio again making his latest single, 'Signs', with Snoop Dogg. That's when he realised there was a problem with his voice.

"He saw a specialist and was diagnosed with nodules. The op is fairly simple so he should be fine."

But rumours still circulate that the couple will still marry this weekend - and that the nodules story has been made up to dupe the media.
