50's Got Sense

06 May 2005

Rapper 50 Cent has revealed that he cannot go back to his own neighbourhood as it's too dangerous for him.

50, who originally comes from Queens in New York, said: "If I go back to the 'hood and they mistake me for being different now and do something (in reaction to that), I may not respond right there myself.

"But I would feel like I gave them the opportunity [to shoot someone]. I'm preventing them from hurting themselves by not being available for them to make that mistake.

"I keep myself away from situations that I know will aggravate me to the point that I could possibly do something that ain't healthy for me. The only thing I'm afraid of is me.

He added that in his former life, he supplied drugs to his own family.

"Whenever my aunts and them would have a party or friends over, I'd offer to go get [cocaine] for them. Since I had it already, I just walked around the block a few times."
