Americans are such copy-cats. On the back of the announcement of our illustrious ARIA award nominations, the American Music Awards yesterday announced their field of nominees for this year.
It was the lady with the tightest tops in pop, Miss Mariah Carey that came out on top with the most nominations - a massive four. Mariah was closely followed by Green Day, our old friend Fiddy and the lovely Kelly Clarkson who all scored themselves three nominations.
Mariah's four nominations come after the number one diva of pop managed to claw her way back from being the butt of many jokes after her very public breakdown, to topping the charts. Carey's current album 'The Emancipation of Mimi ' has already sold an incredible 3 million albums since it's release in April. The huge single from the album 'We Belong Together' also did amazing things for the starlet staying at the top of the U.S. charts for an amazing 14 weeks.
