Coldplay's amazing 'X&Y' album has been named the biggest selling album of 2005. The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry has revealed that Chris Martin's band of merry musical men sold an enormous 8.3 million albums worldwide.
Finishing second just behind Coldplay was the original comeback kid, Mariah Carey, and her record-breaking 'Emancipation of Mimi' album which sold 7.7 million albums worldwide.
The top ten biggest sellers of 2005 list looks like this:
